Where is the scripts folder and how do i upload to it? I do not see one, are you talking about on the root of the server?

Personally, FileZIlla and FileZilla Portable.
There's also a FireFTP Addon for Firefox.

I cant login to FTP as root, i have a VPS and have root access

yeah you can, just log onto ftp but use the root username and password for the ftp username and password.

I have but it isnt logging in. I mean i can access whm using my root login

can you try going into SSH as root and uploading via ftp there?
