The PS3 is not only a powerhouse (cell processor) it has great networking capabilities, heck, I can even run Linux on it. Not to mention that PSN is totally free.|

yeah, the biggest thorn in sonys side is Live. its going to be a while before sony can compete with it, and they will have to charge for it to boot!
