We have one user who can't complete the sign-up process because of this error on step 5:

I would suggest making sure that on the client details step all of the fields have ticks next to them before proceding. Also make sure that the user is using the exact URL that you used to install THT - for me that was a case of including www. or not.

I have the same problem. Wondering how to solve it? Confused as here no solution is provided. I think it may be file permission or server response return problem.

This error, as Jonny noted is coming directly from the WHM API. It's possible WHM could be misconfigured.
