Not able to reset password

Not able to reset password
Hi everyone,

My clients are not able to reset there passwords and also don`t get any email to reset it. I tried to reset their password from the admin panel it shows password changed successfully but when one tries to login with it, it shows a wrong username or password error.

Please help me as soon as possible.

I am using cPanel/WHM and also tried to do a fresh install but the problem was same in that also.
I have looked in the code and it feels like the problem is in the code.

they get the new account emails means the phpmail is working fine
and in admin panel if we reset a password of any customer. It don`t works at the time of login
